Footage of XXXtentacion's tragic murder was shown in a Broward County courtroom on Thursday (September 27). The shocking video was played for the first time in public during the late rapper's murder trial.
South Florida news station WPLG aired the footage, which showed two men in hoodies hop out of an SUV, pointing their weapons at X who was sitting in his BMW at the time. A WPLG reporter narrated the footage, which showed the alleged suspects "ordering him to take off his chains," before one gunman ultimately fired his weapon, killing the 20-year-old rapper.
As previously reported, the "SAD!" rapper was gunned down outside a motorsports store in Deerfield Beach, Florida on June 18. X's murder video comes one month after the fourth and final suspect was arrested in connection to his case. The four alleged gunmen (Robert Allen, Michael Boatwright, Dedrick Williams and recently arrested Trayvon Newsome) remain in custody and are all facing murder charges.
Most recently, X was featured on Lil Wayne's highly anticipated album Tha Carter V. The "Moonlight" rapper's posthumous verse is on the album's second track, "Don't Cry." The feature marked X's second posthumous collab of the month. Last week, Lil Peep and X's posthumous collaboration, "Falling Down," was released. The single, which was co-written by I Love Makonnen, dropped ten months after Peep's fatal overdose and three months after X's tragic murder.
X's girlfriend is currently expecting their first child together. The late rapper's mom, Cleopatra Bernard, revealed the baby's sex last month. "It’s a boy 👶🏽 baby x," she captioned a photo of X's girlfriend's pregnant belly. Days after X's death, Cleopatra shared a photo of an ultrasound to announce that X's girlfriend was pregnant with his first child. "He left us a final gift," she captioned the shot.
