Hozier Performs 'Shrike' at Windmill Lane Studios: Watch

Hozier's "Shrike" is one of the most delicate tracks on his new EP, Nina Cried Power, and the singer-songwriter was somehow able to give the song an even more ethereal feel with a newly released live version recorded at Windmill Lane Studios in Dublin, Ireland. The Irishman shared a video of the performance that features him gently picking his acoustic guitar, as he almost whispers the lyrics into the microphone. He's backed by a full band, with a percussionist lightly hitting his drums with soft mallets, a pianist, and a violinist.

This video isn't the first live performance Hozier has shared from his new EP. Last week, he revealed an acoustic performance of the intimate "NFWMB" shot at Killruddery House in Hozier's hometown of Bray, Ireland.

Nina Cried Power is Hozier's first new music in three years, but the 28-year-old musician has much more to give us soon.

During a recent interview with Jonathan Clark of Q104.3, Hozier revealed that he has a full-length album in the works. "Early 2019 will be the album proper I would think," he divulged, "but we should have one more song coming out before Christmas if all goes well."

He recently wrapped up a North American tour and will be hitting the road on an extensive European tour in November.
