Beck Teams Up With Este Haim and Father John Misty For "Where It's At"

On Tuesday night (December 18), Father John Misty took over the Theatre at Ace Hotel to host a benefit concert supporting those affected by the recent, devastating California wildfires. He wrangled up a star-studded lineup consisting of Haim, Weezer frontman Rivers Cuomo, Mac DeMarco, Jenny Lewis, Rostam, Weyes Blood, Tim Heidecker, Jeff Bhasker, Jonathan Wilson, Nate Ruess, and LuciusBut no Los Angeles benefit event is complete without Beckand good old Josh Tillman (FJM) took that into consideration. As a surprise to guests, the LA native came out and treated fans to a performance of his 1996 hit, "Where It's At." Since he didn't have a band prepared to back him up, FJM played drums (his old occupation as a member of the Fleet Foxes), and bass face extraordinaire, Este Haim, kept rhythm. Additionally, Jonathan Wilson hopped on guitar and Kanye West collaboraor, Jeff Bhasker, laid down the keys.

For a makeshift band, they weren't too shabby. Watch fan footage of the performance below.

This wasn't the first time Beck and FJM collaborated together. The folk guru played in the indie pioneer's backup band during his 2014 appearance on Saturday Night Live. Together, they performed "Blue Moon" and "Wave" off Morning Phase.
