It's no secret that Ariana Grande has an incredible set of pipes. It's also no secret that she can do a spot on Celine Dion impression. On Saturday (December 22), the pop star shared with fans where her love for the Canadian crooner originated.
In a series of throwback videos, the 26-year-old proved her vocal prowess began at an early age. The first clip shows a young Ariana sitting in the backseat of a car.
"What else would you like to sing?" her mother Joan asks from behind the camera.
"Um, the next song," the young Ari replies in a sweet little voice.
After rubbing some strawberry from off her cheek, Mama Joan plays "The Reason" off Celine's 1997 album, Let's Talk About Love. The kiddo then starts absolutely belting out the song's chorus. "You are the reason I wake up every day/ And sleep through the night/ You are the reason, the reason In the middle of the night," she sings at the top of her lungs. At the end of the clip she instructs her brother Frankie to "put it from the beginning."
The second video shows Joan and Ariana singing the Barbra Streisand/Celine Dion duet "Tell Him."
"We still sing this," the "Imagine" singer wrote alongside the clip, "she’s still barbara and still this stunning and cute if not more so."
