Demi Lovato Slams Instagram For Fat-Shaming Ads On Her Feed

Demi Lovato is so not here for fat-shaming on social media. She took to Instagram to call out the social media app for allowing a game to promote fat-shaming in their ads.

"Why is this fat shaming bulls**t on my feed? So many things wrong this ad," she wrote.

"You can 'pretty' at any weight," she continued.

"This is absolutely harmful to anyone who is easily influenced by societal pressures put on us from the diet culture to constantly be losing weight in a world in a world that teaches us to equate our value and worth with the way we look and especially anyone in recovery from an eating disorder," she wrote.

She also pointed out that eating disorders are all about "control" so this particular ad is especially triggering for those suffering from similar disorders.

"So please Instagram, keep this bulls**t off mine and other's feeds who could be easily affected by this disgusting advertisement," she continued. "With how aware people becoming of mental health and mental illnesses, I expect you guys to know better by allowing this advertisement to be allowed on your app. And shame on the game."

A rep for Instagram spoke to TMZ about the ad and said the ad had been removed. "We're sorry. This ad was approved by mistake. We reviewed it again and removed it from future delivery in people's feeds."
