Meghan Markle is making quite the impression during her freshman year as a royal. Following her trip to Morocco on behalf of the crown, Queen Elizabeth II is said to be so impressed by the Duchess of Sussex's work ethic that she may bestow her with a rare honor.
According to a Palace Aide who spoke with Vanity Fair, Queen Elizabeth was thrilled with Meghan and Prince Harry's performance in Morocco, but she was doubly impressed by the duchess. “The Queen is amazed by the duchess’s energy and stamina given that she is so heavily pregnant,” the source explained. “For the Queen and her generation, you generally hid your bump and put your feet up in this stage of pregnancy, but Meghan hasn’t stopped.”
Receiving praise from the Queen is reportedly quite rare, though, she's been known to send a handwritten letter of thanks to show her appreciation every now and again. Meghan's work ethic may very well be the thing that gets her one of these remarkable gestures.
There may well be a letter waiting for the duke and duchess when they return,” the source said. “She respects hard work and loyalty above everything.”
There were rumors swirling that Meghan's staff was put off by her ambition, however, courtiers who traveled with the royal couple over the weekend expressed that she has "some serious stamina" and that her "work ethic is really impressive, she really doesn't stop."
Now that Prince Harry and Meghan are back in London, they're sure to be just as busy as ever preparing to welcome their first child together. Baby Sussex is expected to arrive sometime in late April.
