Brett Young & Gavin DeGraw Take On Las Vegas

Brett Young and Gavin DeGraw are teaming up and joining forces for a co-headlining show at 'The Joint' in Las Vegas on March 22nd.

Brett's friendship with Gavin started a decade ago when, Brett jokes, he was Gavin's stalker. "I pretty much stalked Gavin for a year's worth of shows 12 or 13 years ago," the singer shared with media at a press event. "I went to 13 shows in a year, and the last one was in Hawaii. He was playing the Honolulu Marathon."

A friendship was formed over beers in Hawaii, and over a decade later they remain close and living in the same city.

"We're both living in Nashville now, and we have been hanging out quite a bit, and I was writing album number two, and I just went, here's the deal, I'm writing album number two, and I really want to write one with you. He goes, 'Alright', one thing though, you keep telling me your label wants a song that is not about a girl, they want a live song. We've got to write your story.'"

The result was "Chapters," a song that DeGraw contributed vocals to and also co-wrote alongside Brett. Brett says that having DeGraw's perspective on the track was especially meaningful because of their shared experience of becoming artists throughout the "chapters" of their lives.

"Chapters," can be found on Brett's sophomore album, 'Ticket to L.A.'

Brett also recently teamed up with the award-winning R&B icons, Boyz II Men for an episode of 'CMT Crossroads.' The special hosted by Cody Alan will air on CMT, March 1, 2019, Brett and the Boyz will premier their collaboration on their biggest hits for the hour-long special which premieres on CMT on Wednesday, March 27 at 10 pm ET/PT.
