Seven Ways Birthday Boy Paul Rudd Rocks

April 6th marks the day Paul Rudd turns 50 years old. In his many roles and TV appearances, the actor has made us laugh in his roles, but he’s also made us appreciate music. Here are seven ways Paul Rudd’s enthusiasm about music made us happy he was born:

1. The 2009 comedy I Love You, Man, which co-starred Jason Segel, pretty much also co-starred Canadian trio Rush since they were such a large part of the movie. Paul’s character, "Peter Klaven," adores the band and loves introducing the Holy Triumvirate to anyone who isn’t familiar with them. And life imitated art when Paul joined the band onstage in his hometown of Kansas City when the prog rockers wrapped up their Clockwork Angels Tour there in 2013:

2. When Paul took onTonight ShowhostJimmyFallon in a lip sync battle, he blew us all away with an epic routine to Queen’s “Don’t Stop Me Now”:

3. Paul returned to The Tonight Show to do a shot-for-shot remake of the classic 1981 video for Styx's "Too Much Time On My Hands."

4. Paul’s character in the 2008 filmRole Models gave us another take on one of Kiss’s classics:

5. In 2012’s Wanderlust, Paul’s character tries to impress Jennifer Aniston’s with this charming rendition of Spin Doctors’ “Two Princes."

6. In 2005’sThe 40-Year-Old Virgin, Paul’s character says what we all would feel after listening to a little too much Michael McDonald:

7. Even dressed as Earth on Sesame Street, Paul is musically inclined.

Happy birthday Paul!
