Harkins Theatres announced plans today to build a 12-screen megaplex at Loop 202 and Baseline in Laveen, AZ. The new theatre will be the Scottsdale-based company’s 20thlocation in the greater Phoenix market and its 35thlocation overall. Founded and based in Arizona since 1933, Harkins is the largest independently owned movie exhibitor in the country.
