Baby Archie is coming to the homeland! Well, his mom's homeland, anyway. According to Us Weekly, Meghan Markle will be visiting the U.S. sometime in the next few months. Though she was born and raised in Los Angeles, the Duchess of Sussex reportedly won't be making it to the west coast during her trip. Little Archie's first stop in the states will be New York City, which is super fitting because that's where Meghan's baby shower was back in February.
A royal insider told Us that the Duchess is "planning on coming to the States" with her son, confirming that their destination will "most likely" be NYC. “As of now, the plan is for this to take place some time over the summer,” the source explained. “She’ll see her mom [Doria Ragland] and friends.” Though Meghan plans to meet up with her friends while in NYC, some of her close pals have already met little Archie in England. Both Jessica Mulroney and Serena Williams are believed to have visited Meghan, Prince Harry, and Archie at their Frogmore Cottage home.
Rumors about Archie's first trip to the U.S. have been circulating since, well, his birth at the beginning of May. Another source spoke to Us Weekly just a few weeks ago, spilling the tea about Meghan's desire to bring Archie home to the states ASAP. “For Meghan, it’s just as important for Archie to learn about her family history as it is for him to learn about his royal ancestors," the source explained.
The Duke and Duchess of Sussex were planning an official tour of the U.S., as well, that was postponed after Meghan became pregnant. Maybe Archie will make his next official appearance on a royal tour of his mom's home country. Archie's cousin,Prince George, went on his first royal tour in Australia at just 8 months old, so, it's definitely possible. But first: meeting up with Mom's friends and family in NYC this summer!
