A Michigan man was arrested nearly two weeks after he allegedly stole thousands of dollars worth of merchandise from Walmart. Police say 34-year-old Matthew Brown went to the same Walmart three times in a single night and walked out with over $6,000 worth of electronics.
Brown entered the store at around 1:30 in the morning on March 22nd and took some items from the electronics department before leaving in a Saturn Vue. He returned to the store about 20 minutes later, grabbed even more items and loaded them into his car. He came back for a third time later that night to finish off his crime spree.
Authorities managed to track Brown down to an apartment about 40 miles away. They found most of the stolen items in his apartment and his car. Brown managed to take three 50-inch to 65-inch TVs, a drone, a cell phone, a computer building kit, a flashlight, a Schwinn bicycle, an HP Pavilion Desktop, a PS4 Racing Wheel, and a Western Digital 6 terabyte hard drive.
He was taken to jail and charged with felony retail fraud. He faces up to five years in prison if he is convicted.
