Lori Loughlin's Legal Troubles Could Get Much Worse

Lori Loughlin's involvement in the college admissions bribery scam keeps getting more complicated. Not only does Loughlin face up to 40 years in prison for allegedly paying $500k in bribes to USC, the former Fuller House actress's legal troubles may get much worse in the near future.

Us Weekly reports Loughlin, as well as her husband Mossimo Giannulli, could end up in a separate legal dispute with USC. Their attorney issued a letter to prosecutors detailing how USC is represented by the same law firm (Latham) as Loughlin and Giannulli. While their attorney insists there won't be a conflict of interest, USC reportedly “suggested that Latham’s representation of Ms. Loughlin and Mr. Giannulli poses foreseeable conflicts because it is possible that USC may have civil disputes with one or both sometime in the future.”

Unsurprisingly, Loughlin isn't thrilled with USC's possible intent to file a civil dispute against her. “Lori feels that USC is going to do whatever is necessary to attempt to financially ruin her family. USC accepts extremely substantial donations, which will typically result with a child from that family enrolling,” a source told Us Weekly. “Lori wants to expose USC’s admission practices and looks forward to her day in criminal court.”

“Lori and Mossimo will defend themselves, and would anticipate a very robust and thorough discovery process of USC’s admissions and large financial donations in which a child became a student at the university,” the insider continued.

Loughlin has not publicly addressed this new wrinkle in her legal troubles and it seems unlikely that she will.
