Watch As Dylan Scott Honors A Country Music Icon

Dylan Scott originated the idea of honoring his musical hero, Keith Whitley, with An Old Memory, a seven song special project featuring Dylan’s signature, deep baritone style. The project was recorded in the legendary Sound Emporium Studio in Nashville, TN – the same studio that Keith Whitley not only recorded many of these songs himself but also utilized several of the original musicians as well.

Produced by Matt Alderman, Curt Gibbs and Jim Ed Norman, the album features legendary and award winning musicians, Mac McAnally, Eddie Bayers, Carl Jackson, Dylan’s dad Scotty on guitar and a special appearance by Lorrie Morgan on ”Tell Lorrie I Love Her”, one of the last songs Keith Whitley worked on prior to his death.

“I love old school country music. I grew up listening to Keith Whitley songs. He inspired me and quite frankly “Between An Old Memory And Me” is how I got my record deal. He is one of my musical heroes.”

The full EP track listing includes “Don’t Close Your Eyes,” “I’m Over You,” “When You Say Nothing at All,” “Ten Feet Away,” “Miami, My Amy,” “Between an Old Memory and Me” and “Tell Lorrie I Love Her.”

The first song released off the project is Whitley's iconic "When You Say Nothing At All." Watch the video for Scott's version of the song below.
