On Sunday (July 7), the U.S. women’s national soccer team defeated the Netherlands in the final match of the 2019 Women’s World Cup, making Team U.S. this year's World Cup champions. This victory has marked their 12th consecutive match won at a Women’s World Cup, which surpassed the previous record of 10 set by Norway in 1995. It is clear that the U.S. women’s team, which includes power players Megan Rapinoe, Alex Morgan and Carli Lloyd, have had a lot to celebrate about.
