Josh Homme Joins The Raconteurs For 9-Minute 'Blue Veins' Jam Sesh: Watch

Over the weekend, The Raconteurs gave Los Angeles fans a surprise during their show at the Greek Theater when they brought out Queens of the Stone Age frontman Josh Homme for an extended version of "Blue Veins." The track, which appears on the band's debut album Broken Boy Soldier, normally runs around four minutes; however, Jack White and company decided to turn the song into a jam session, extending it to nine minutes.

Homme accompanied the band on guitar, wailing with White during the solo. A fan was able to record video footage of the performance, which is notable considering White doesn't allow cell phones at his shows, requesting attendees to stow them away in Yondr cases. Watch the contraband footage below.

White recently joined Homme for a chat on his radio show, where they discussed The Raconteurs' comeback album, HELP US STRANGER, the rock star's aversion to cell phones (he's never owned one), and who would win in a fight between them.

The Raconteurs are currently taking a little break from the road before heading back on tour in August. Check out a full list of dates below.
