Meghan Markle Hopes To 'Change The Perception’ About Post-Baby Bodies

Meghan Markle is in no rush to "bounce back" after welcoming her first child, Archie, back in May. In fact, the Duchess of Sussex wants nothing to do with impossible beauty standards set for women. According to a few royal insiders, Meghan hopes her laid back approach to her "post-baby body" will help inspire other women to be gentle with themselves, too.

The insider told Us Weekly that Meghan “wants to change the perception that you have to be skinny to be beautiful," especially after having a baby. “It’s not easy to lose the weight,” another source explained. “She’s happy to be a realistic example to new mothers.”

Instead of focusing on how she looks, Meghan is reportedly focusing on her health and how she feels. The source revealed Meghan eats a plant based diet (with cheat days built in, of course) and "daily yoga and meditation in her equipped yoga studio at Frogmore." Yoga and meditation are Meghan's go-to's for exercise and relaxation. "What she loves most about the practice is that it helps her switch off and wind down," the source continued. Sometimes Prince Harry joins her for some yoga, as well.

Meghan has already inspired many women in the few public appearances she's made during her maternity leave. "Meghan looks like a woman who gave birth two months ago, and not only embraces her post pregnancy body, but also loves it too," one woman wrote after seeing the Duchess at The Lion King premiere. "You know what I really appreciate? Meghan Markle doing these public appearances so soon after having Archie and not hiding her body. Good on her," another added.

Since Meghan is still on maternity leave for the next few weeks, it's unclear when she'll step out publicly again. One thing is for sure, though, she'll look absolutely stunning.
