Kristen Stewart is unapologetically herself these days and if you don't like that then the Hollywood actress has no interest in doing business with you. In her new cover story for Harper's Bazaar, the 29-year-old star made that point crystal clear while discussing how her ambiguity has helped her stay true to herself no matter what opportunities she misses along the way.
"I used to sit in interviews and go, 'God, I wonder what they’re going to ask me,' but now – literally – you can ask me anything!" she said during the interview, before being asked about the debate surrounding her sexuality. "I think I just wanted to enjoy my life. And that took precedence over protecting my life, because in protecting it, I was ruining it. . . .I just think we’re all kind of getting to a place where – I don’t know, evolution's a weird thing – we're all becoming incredibly ambiguous and it’s this really gorgeous thing."
Shortly after, Stewart confessed that she's even been excluded some certain opportunities because of her sexuality. "I have fully been told, 'If you just like do yourself a favor, and don’t go out holding your girlfriend’s hand in public, you might get a Marvel movie.' I don’t want to work with people like that," she said, adding, "Literally, life is a huge popularity contest."
If you want more from Stewart, make sure you check her out in Seberb, which premiered at the Venice Film Festival, and the upcoming Charlie's Angels reboot, which opens in theaters on November 15.
