This is a collaboration we didn't know we needed. Frank’s RedHot has teamed up with Dunkin’ to create a hot sauce-covered jelly donut. Frank’s RedHot teased the new concoction during their Super Bowl live stream on Twitter. The host was dared to eat the spicy donut during a game of spin the bottle. He then combined a Dunkin' donut with Frank's RedHot's Original Cayenne Pepper Sauce.
Whether you were disturbed by the spicy-sweet combination created during the livestream, Dunkin' and Frank's RedHot quickly revealed the donut wasn't simply a prop for the livestream. They're actually releasing the hybrid donut for costumers. The only downside, however, is that the release is super limited. The new menu item will only be available at two Dunkin' locations while supplies last.
In honor of the 2020 Super Bowl being held in Miami, fans of Dunkin' and Frank's RedHot can try out Frank’s RedHot Jelly Donut at two Florida locations. Interested (and brave) parties grab the spicy donut at the Dunkin' at the Miami International Airport and at the 17th St. location in Fort Lauderdale. The best part? This new menu item is totally free.
If you're not sure you want to take the plunge and try one of these spicy donuts out just yet, Dunkin' revealed exactly what's in them. The Frank’s RedHot Jelly Donut features a yeast donut shell that’s filled with apple and raspberry-flavored jelly, topped with white icing and drizzled with Frank’s RedHot Original Cayenne Pepper Sauce, according to their press release.
Will you be giving this spicy donut a try?
