Robert Plant Announces U.S. Tour With New Backing Band, Saving Grace

Robert Plant has announced the first U.S. tour dates with his new band, Saving Grace.

Plant formed Saving Grace with singer Suzy Dian, drummer Oli Jefferson and guitarists Tony Kelsey and Matt Worley. The band performed a string of dates in the U.K. late last year.

The collective's first North American dates run from May 12 - May 23.

Plant and Saving Grace's jaunt will begin in Minneapolis and slither through the midwest before ending with a trio of East Coast dates in New York and Washington, D.C.

Tickets go on sale Friday, March 6, at 10 a.m. local time.

Plant has toured extensively in recent years supporting his last studio album, 2017's Carry Fire, which was his second effort with his Sensational Space Shifters backing band.

Plant and Saving Grace recently unveiled a cover of Low's "Everybody's Song." It's unclear when the band will debut new, recorded material, but the frontman was spotted at a Nashville airport in December. Plant has never been one to stay away from the studio for long.
