On Tuesday (March 3), the Grammy-nominated singer's team released a statement to shut down rumors that she's dating Common after a photoshopped image, showing the two together at the Lena Horne Prize for Artists Creating Social Impact inaugural celebration in New York last week, began making its rounds on social media.
"Solange and Common are not seeing each other. Both artists attended the Lena Horne Prize event simply to honor Lena Horne’s Legacy,” read the statement, via SOHH.
The 33-year-old singer also appeared to react to the dating rumors on Instagram, sharing a screenshot of the video for David G’s 2009 track titled “Lying On Me.”
As fans know, Solange split from her husband of five years in 2019. The "Don't Touch My Hair" singer announced the news in November, revealing that she and the 56-year-old music video director split earlier that year.

"early this year we separated and parted ways, (and tho it ain’t nan no body business 😭) i find it necessary to protect the sacredness of my personal truth and to live in it fully just as I have before and will continue to do. it is unfair to not have power of your own story as you shape and mold and rewrite it yourself. a ni**a ain’t perfect, but im leaning into the fear of the unknown and all the glory and power i know exist within god and the universes grace. may all of your transitions no matter how big or small, be kind to you and filled with incredible love and light!"
