Megan Thee Stallion made her directorial debut this week with her "Captain Hook" music video. The clip shows the rapper scribbling on a pad of paper behind a desk in the studio before getting into a vocal booth to record lyrics, and twerk. The recording session quickly turns into a party.
"Captain Hook" is featured on the certified Hot Girl's new EP, SUGA. The nine-song project also features "B.I.T.C.H.," which Megan Thee Stallion dropped earlier this year.
“My next project, I will be introducing a new lady,” she told NPR before dropping the album. “Her name is Suga. She’s besties with [alter ego] Tina Snow.”
“I felt like my mixtapes were me flirting with my fans," Meg continued. "I never wanted to do an album ’cause I was like, ‘Oh, that feel like a marriage. That’s a commitment.’ But now, I’m ready to settle down with an album.”

Though she's celebrating her new album, the "Hot Girl Summer" rapper is also amidst legal drama with her label, 1501. Meg was granted a temporary restraining order against her label last week, so she could release SUGA on March 6. Just days before the album's release, she called out 1501 for restricting her from dropping new music because she wanted to renegotiate her contract.
