High Schoolers Make Everyone Cry Performing Cancelled Concert Remotely

Among the many cancellations in the wake of coronavirus was the Chino Valley Unified School District's Choral Festival in California. At the event, the Chino Hills High School Chamber Singers were supposed to perform some of their powerful and moving renditions of songs, but when the concert got scrapped, it seemed no one would hear what they worked so hard on. However, the choir wasn't going to let that happen.

From their homes, each member of the group recorded their own part of Israel Kamakawiwo'ole's version of "Over The Rainbow." They were then edited together and shared as one amazing a capella performance.

In the caption for the video, the school district explained how the singers "demonstrated resilience" by recording the song and that through technology "they were able to appear together as a family again."

They added that they released the video with the "goal of spreading hope and cheer during this difficult time."

Hopefully the Choral Festival will be rescheduled soon.
