Queen Bey speaks!
As we all continue to grapple with the ongoing coronavirus pandemic, Beyoncé shared a message of hope while helping to raise funds for COVID-19 relief efforts.
On Thursday (April 16), Bey made a surprise appearance on ABC's at-home special "Disney Family Singalong," shocking fans when she joined the A-List singalong line-up, singing a beautiful rendition of "When You Wish Upon a Star" from Pinocchio.
"I’m very proud to be a part of the Disney family,” she said before launching into her performance. “And to help present the Disney Songbook Singalong in partnership with Feeding America, I’d like to dedicate this song to all of the healthcare workers who’ve been working tirelessly to keep us healthy and safe. We greatly appreciate you.”
After gifting viewers a truly magical performance, Bey concluded her appearance with an uplifting message: "Please hold on to your families tight. Please be safe. Don't give up hope. We're going to get through this. I promise. God bless you!"
“She sent something in and it was absolutely beautiful,” Rob Mills, a senior vice president at ABC Entertainment, told Buzzfeed News of Bey's surprise performance. “Beyoncé singing ‘When You Wish Upon a Star’ was in the total spirit of not only what the special is about, but what the country is about right now, and it was something only she could do.”
Twitter couldn't have agreed more as it erupted with tweets praising the 38-year-old entertainer's performance.
