Mike Shinoda Made A Song Using A Sample Of His Dog

Mike Shinoda has been keeping his fans quite entertained while in quarantine. Every week day the Linkin Park emcee hosts a livestream on his Twitch channel around 10am PST, and draws from a "Bowl of Destiny" for different styles to mash up in a song he creates before fans' eyes (think of it as musical improv). The bowl's contents is filled by requests from fans using "Shinoda bucks," and for Tuesday's (June 9) session Shinoda had quite an interesting task.

"Brazilian Bossa Nova meets Electro Pop meets samples of my dog?" he captioned a video on Instagram.

Aside from music, Shinoda is also a skilled artist and draws fan requests during livestreams, too. Last week he shared highlights from a drawing session on Instagram that included his favorite Disney character, a Ravenclaw Wedding cake, him riding a wombat, a Sacred Winged Doge, and Superhero Chester fighting Godzilla over a Hokusai wave.

Shinoda also recently gave away an original painting to whoever gave the biggest donation to his Tiltify campaign and was able to raise over $20,000 for COVID-19 relief.

Though he's had free time during lockdown, Shinoda was busy writing with Linkin Park before the Coronavirus pandemic struck. The band's bassist Dave "Phoenix" Farrell recently revealed they'd been working on new music before quarantine began.
