Luke Bryan's wife Caroline, recently had a scary encounter with a turkey that left her struggling to walk.
On Thursday (June 18), she shared photos on her Instagram Story, explaining that she was attacked by the notoriously grumpy turkey, Al on Wednesday (June 17). "My turkey Al attacked me last night," she said in a video, adding, "and hit a tendon in the back of my leg."
Al is one of the turkey's at Brett's Barn, a place where adopted animals live for children to visit which Caroline founded after her niece died. Based on the organization's Instagram page, this isn't the first time someone, including Caroline, has had problems with Al. In fact, there's a whole collection of Instagram Stories dedicated to Al's mischief.
Further details around what led to Caroline's attack are still unknown. One report says Caroline first called on her friends to help who quickly showed up with wine but lacked any medical experience. She then called Dr. Cary Gannon who tended to her injury and also offered Luke some advice on how to help care for the wound.
Although Caroline does find humor in the incident, it's clear she's also in some pain. Following the attack, she needed a tetanus shot and a cane to help her walk.
