Kelly Clarkson Is Grateful For Talk Show Following A 'Challenging' Year

2020 hasn’t been the easiest on Kelly Clarkson, but the pop star has had her talk show to help her stay connected amid her divorce from husband Brandon Blackstock.

On Tuesday night (July 21), the American Idol OG took to Twitter to reflect on the year thus far and it’s clear that Clarkson is full of appreciation. "Shout out [to] every single guest I’ve had while taping my show this summer," the singer wrote in a message. "This year has been challenging, overwhelming [and] sometimes it feels like hope is lost. BUT I have had the honor of meeting some incredible humans doing amazing things [and] keeping hope alive [and] I want [to] say THANK U."

Clarkson has been hard at work to make her talk show a feasible part of quarantine and her efforts were recently acknowledged. Back in June, Clarkson won a Daytime Emmy Award for Outstanding Entertainment Talk Show Host and even thanked Blackstock, 43, for his support in pursing the venture.

In June 2019, Clarkson filed divorce documents in Los Angeles to end her marriage to the talent manager. The two reportedly met in 2012 at Super Bowl XLVI through Brandon's dad, Narvel Blackstock, who used to managed Kelly. They dated for 10 months, before Blackstock popped the question and the couple tied the knot in October 2013.
