Meghan Markle Is Planning Small Birthday Party Outside L.A. Due To COVID-19

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have been living in Tyler Perry's Beverly Hills mansion since they moved to the United States earlier this year. While they've been spotted out and about in the Los Angeles area a few times in recent months, the former royals have mostly been staying home due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic. As Meghan's 39th birthday approaches, however, the Duchess of Sussex is considering throwing a small celebration outside of L.A. due to renewed shutdown.

According to sources who spoke to The Daily Mail, Meghan told her close friends that she and Harry feel "cooped up" in their temporary L.A. digs. In order to see her friends and get out of town for a while Meghan is reportedly considering hosting a gathering in Montecito. Should she go through with her plans, however, Meghan would require all her guests get "fast tracked" COVID-19 tests before attending.

"Whatever she ends up doing for her birthday, Meghan said it will be "low-key," a source explained. "She said she doesn’t want to come across as being careless and irresponsible" in the middle of a pandemic. In addition to having all guests tested. Meghan will reportedly host the gathering outdoors as an extra precaution.

The source didn't divulge which of Meghan's famous friends would be on the guest list, though the Daily Mail pointed out Oprah Winfrey resides in Montecito. The TV host attended Meghan's wedding back in 2018 and gave Archie his very own library of children's books when he was born.
