St. Vincent Fans Want Answers After She Posts Cryptic Photo

St. Vincent sent her fans into a frenzy on Wednesday (August 26), when she posted a new photo to Instagram.

The singer – real name Annie Clark – has been fairly quiet on social media over the summer posting a cover of “Stairway To Heaven” back in July as well as some great throwback cellphone photos from concerts.

So when she posted a photo definitely not taken with a cell phone, fans took notice.

In front of a lavender background, we can see the back of St. Vincent's slicked back hair, her chin and either a black and white striped chair or outfit. Her face is cut off on the frame and she didn't even give us a caption!

Fans immediately started flooding the singer's comments demanding answers for the cryptic post with many guessing she's gearing up to release new music (PRAYERS UP)!

“NOW HOLD ON ANNIE WHAT DOES THIS MEAN?” one fan asked the singer, while another wrote a very relatable comment, “please release sth we are sad and need new music.”

While she hasn't confirmed if she was busy making new music, earlier this year Jack Antonoff said the long-time collaborators were in the studio. “We’re just messing around,” he said at the time. “Annie’s one of those people who, anytime there’s a chance, it’s like, ‘Let’s just see if there’s anything to mess around with…’”

St. Vincent’s last album, Masseduction, was released in 2017, which feels like a century ago, so we are desperate for a new album.
