Tekashi 6xi9ine's New Album 'Tattle Tales' Drops September 4

Tekashi 6xi9ine's is set to drop his first album since completing his prison sentence while on home confinement.

On Thursday (August 26), the rapper, 24, confirmed via Instagram that his upcoming studio album, Tattle Tales, is set for release on September 4. "We just landed in Chicago and all that," he told fans while walking down the street. "Yo, I got a huge announcement for y'all. I'm droppin' the album Sept. 4. Tattle Tales, the album. I think the killers, the hitters, is over here. Try to keep it down. Sept. 4. Yo, listen. Sept. 4, the album's coming. Let's pay respect to all the soldiers."

It's likely that the previously-released "Trollz," "Gooba," “Yaya,” “Punani,” as well as his sequel to Akon's "Locked Up," will find placement on the upcoming LP. Tattle Tales marks his sophomore effort after 2018’s Dummy Boy, which was released eight days after he was arrested for his involvement with the Nine Trey Gangsta Bloods. Its title nods to his high-profile racketeering case, where he snitched on members of his former gang.

"That's not going on my album, but it's going on his [6ix9ine's] album," Akon previously revealed of his collab with 69. "It was more for him to tell his story, and I thought it was super important, because most people never really been locked up, so it was funny to read some of them comments. If they ever been in the facility or ever been locked up somehow, they would know that the jails are filled and more populated with snitches than it is with regular people and than people who committed normal crime."

To celebrate the release, Tekashi will perform a live stream concert on September 5. He's reportedly set to receive $5 million for the virtual concert.
