Nashville's "Mother Church" will be opening its doors to the public this week for the first time since the coronavirus pandemic began.
The Ryman Auditorium will host in-venue shows to limited audiences, beginning with a concert featuring country star Scotty McCreery on Friday night at 8:00 p.m. CST.
McCreery announced that the venue was authorized to sell 125 tickets for Friday night's show in a video shared on his Twitter account Tuesday.
"I just found out that the Ryman has been allowed to sell 125 tickets to come and see the show live and in-person in a safe and socially distanced way."
The venue is also scheduled to host several other in-person concerts this month including Brett Young on September 11, Old Crow Medicine Show on September 18, and the Four Tops and the Temptations on September 23.
The Ryman began postponing and canceling scheduled events amid the coronavirus pandemic in March, but has since offered a live stream experience for fans to watch from home.
McCreery's concert will also be available to livestream for $10 through the Ryman's official website.
The Nashville Metro Department of Health reported 44 new cases in Davidson County on Tuesday, which has a total of 26,019 reported COVID-19 cases, the most of any Tennessee county.
Fans will be asked to follow the CDC's social distancing guidelines and adhere to the city's mask mandate in order to attend Friday's concert.
