A video of an Austin couple is taking off after pilot asked his girlfriend to marry him while in his plane on Saturday.
Mason Pitts wanted to find a unique way to ask Allie Bond to be his wife so he recreated a viral airplane marriage proposal he found on YouTube, according to KXAN.
Since Pitts has a pilot's license, he decided to fly Bond to Spicewood, where her parents live.
Once the pair was up in the air, Pitts decided that he needed to "practice" what to do in case of engine failure. Bond is clueless about her husband-to-be's plans so she reads through Pitts' checklist. The first couple of steps sounds like something out of an aviation handbook until Bond gets to "Verify pilot will provide for richer or poorer." Pitts got the yes he was looking for and couldn't look happier.
He ends the trip with one more surprise for his future wife. Bond's friends were there to greet and congratulate the happy couple as soon as they landed.
