Marshmello Confirms Collaboration With Demi Lovato Is Coming Soon

Marshmello has confirmed his new collaboration with Demi Lovato.

After weeks of speculation that the DJ and the “Tell Me You Love Me” superstar would be dropping a new song together, the 28-year-old electronic music producer subtly confirmed the collab on social media. The “Alone” star verified the gossip on Twitter after fans asked him to “like” their tweet to validate the rumor, which he happily obliged.

Though it’s unclear how soon it’ll be until we get to hear the musicians collide on a track, one of the tweets Marshemello liked — in which a fan asked, “ok, the next one is demi lovato, right?” — hints the record will be his next single after unveiling the 42 Dugg-assisted joint “Baggin’.”

If that wasn’t exciting enough, it’s possible Lovato and the EDM star will accompany their new song with a music video, as the two were pictured on what appeared to be the set for a music video back in August. As seen in fan-shot pics shared to Twitter last month, Lovato can be seen wearing a black hoody on set, as another image shows Marshmello riding around town on a bicycle.

On August 3, Billboard reported that the DJ had teased his potential collab with Lovato on Instagram in a post with the cryptic caption, “hello? demi?” Looking at the same post today, however, the caption only reads “hello?”

Lovatics have been waiting in high anticipation for the former Disney darling’s seventh studio album, which will follow 2017’s Tell Me You Love Me. So far this year, Lovato has released two solo singles, “I Love Me” and “Anyone,” as well as her first collab, “I’m Ready,” featuring Sam Smith. She also celebrated her second team-up effort when she hopped on the remix for JoJo’s “Lonely Hearts.”
