Dr. Jill Biden, wife of Democratic presidential candidate Joe Biden, will make multiple stops in Virginia on Thursday.
Biden will travel to Hampton Roads Thursday morning to meet with Delegate Jeion Ward, Virginia Education Association President Dr. James Fedderman, and other African-American education leaders before meeting with military families, WAVY reports.
Later in the afternoon, Biden will head to Richmond where she is scheduled to attend an early voting site with Mayor Levar Stoney, according to WTVR. The Biden campaign said she will join a roundtable discussion with working moms in Henrico County.
"Each event will be centered around early voting in Virginia and discuss how the Biden-Harris ticket will lead our country through the pandemic and help working families and our communities build back better," the campaign said in a press release.
Last week, Biden virtually visited Virginia to urge women to support the Democratic ticket, WDBJ7 reports.
"Women re-elected Barack Obama and Joe Biden in 2012," she said at the time. "Women turned the House of Republicans blue in 2018, especially here in Virginia. And women are going to choose the course of this nation for years to come."
Biden's visit will come one day before President Donald Trump is set to hold a campaign rally Friday night at the Newport News/Williamsburg International Airport.
