With many fall festivals and celebrations either canceled or "to be determined" this year, one thing is certain: Shuckle's Corn Maze and Pumpkin Patch will go on as planned. Providing "acres of social distancing," the fun, family-friendly festivities open this weekend and will be open every Saturday and Sunday until November 7.
Fiddle Dee Farms has put together Shuckle's Corn Maze and Pumpkin Patch for 12 years, but it was unclear if they planned to operate this year due to the pandemic, according to News Channel 5. Shuckle's Corn Maze's Craig Pulley said that being outdoors is a plus for the event. They are also increasing their cleaning and sanitizing as well as providing hand sanitizer near most of the attractions.
In addition to its signature 10-acre corn maze, there will be new attractions like the Giant Spider Web Climb, Jumbo Jenga, Moove Over Cow Train, and Saturday Night Movies. To see what else to expect at Shuckle's, visit their website here.
"Without a doubt, 2020 has been an unusual year and we know you are READY to get out and have some fun," the event's website reads. "While we are taking extra precautions during this season, we are working hard to make sure your visit to Shuckle's Corn Maze and Pumpkin Patch is a memorable experience your family will talk about for many years to come."
While masks are not required because people can social distance on the property, News Channel 5 reports, the owners ask that they wear them on rides where distancing is less likely.
