The Dickson County Sheriff's Office is asking local residents to be on the lookout and assist in its search for a missing child who is considered an endangered runaway and could possibly be traveling out of the United States.
Sarahi Peralta-Zendejas, 16, was last seen at her home on Sunday, the department announced on its Facebook account. Deputies believe she may be traveling to Mexico, but it's possible she's still in the area.
Sarahi's mother said she may be planning to visit her father, who lives in Mexico and took her dog, a brown german shepherd pit bull mix, with her.
Sarahi is reported to be driving a red 2008 GMC Acadia with Tennessee Tag 9B6-5H8. She is described as a 5'0," 135 lb Hispanic female with brown hair and black eyes.
Sarahi was last seen wearing black joggers with Adidas strips down the side, a black shirt and white Crocs shoes. A photo of Sarah and her german shepherd dog are included above, as well as a stock photo of a red GNC Acadia similar to her vehicle.
Anyone with information regarding her whereabouts is asked to contact Detective Sarah McCartney with the Dickson County Sheriff's Office at (615)-446-8041 or (615)-740-4872.
