Fight Over DJ Equipment Leads To SWAT Coming To Fort Lauderdale Home

Police said a SWAT team was called to a Fort Lauderdale home Sunday night (September 27) after an argument over DJ equipment, Local 10 on Monday (September 29).

The fight started when the victim confronted the suspect about missing DJ equipment on Lauderdale Manors Drive, according to investigators.

The suspect allegedly withdrew a gun and threatened to shoot the victim in the head. Authorities said the victim was able to leave the home and call police.

The SWAT team was called to the home because the suspect stayed inside.

Charles Roberts, 46, was arrested without incident. He was charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.

Another argument last week lead to a man pulling a gun out on another driver in Broward County.

Broward Sheriff’s Office deputies said 24-year-old Kesly Altidor allegedly shot at an unknown driver during a confrontation last Wednesday (September 23).

Altidor fled the scene and lead authorities on a high-speed chase through Broward and Miami-Dade counties.

NBC Miami chopper footage showed Altidor surrendering to deputies. He was charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon and fleeing and eluding.
