SeaWorld Orlando welcomed a new member to their marine family -- a baby dolphin.
Miami Herald reported Tuesday (October 6) that an Atlantic bottlenose dolphin named Bree became a mom at the theme park's dolphin nursery.
“On Tuesday, Sept. 29, guests at SeaWorld got a glimpse of something truly special when first-time dolphin mom Bree gave birth to her calf at SeaWorld Orlando’s dolphin nursery,” according to a statement from SeaWorld Orlando.
An Instagram video on the park's page showed Bree giving birth and the baby swimming alongside its mother. You can see the calf's body popping through the surface of the water, getting some breaths of air before continuing to swim with Bree.
"We're still [heart eyes] about Bree's adorable newborn calf," a separate post said, featuring Bree and the calf in a photo.
Various comments on the video praised the dolphin team at SeaWorld and remarked at how adorable the baby dolphin was.
It will take a week or so to know the baby's sex, a park spokeswoman said.
“Once we do that, the park will hold a contest so guests can help name the new baby,” she added.
Start thinking up those names, now!
