'Joker' Pulls Knife On Man At Brownsville McDonald's After Denied Fries

Hanger gets the best of all of us, but it usually doesn't escalate to assault, which is what happened in Brownsville, Texas.

Juan Jose Leal was trying enjoy a burger and fries at a downtown McDonald's on September 24 when a man he knew as "Joker" approached him, KVEO reported. "Joker" asked Leal for some of his fries and soda.

Leal told him no, but "Joker" didn't take that too kindly. "Joker" pulled out a butterfly knife and then asked Leal for his belongings, according to a police report. When Leal said no for the second time "Joker" started swinging his knife and slashing the air.

Leal was able to walk away from "Joker" and get in contact with police. Less than a mile away, police officers were able to find a man matching "Joker's" description, which was unlikely to be that difficult since "Joker" has very, very obvious face and neck tattoos.

"Joker" was identified as Reynaldo Ripke of Brownsville. Ripke was charged with aggravated assault and aggravated robbery.
