Halloween is coming, and you know what that means: costume shopping. Whether it's for parties, trick-or-treating or just mere celebration, costumes are a good way to get creative or ghoulish around this time of year. Because of this, Google created a webpage dedicated to the most searched costumes by major city across the United States. When it comes to South Florida, there are some interesting searches.
Let's start with Miami. The most searched costume is... lion! This big cat needs no introduction. Imagine a child roaring in a furry costume, or someone crafting an elaborate lion face with face paint or make-up. In Naples, the most searched costume are devils. The Southwest Florida city isn't alone though; devil ranks at No. 8 for top ten most searched costumes nationwide. Rabbit, which is the No. 4 most searched in the U.S., is No.1 in West Palm Beach; it also shares this trend with Los Angeles.
What about other parts of Florida? Well, hot dog was the most searched costume in Jacksonville. In Orlando, vampires reign supreme in searches. Tampa residents seem interested in Chucky costumes, and the comic book character Poison Ivy is trending as a costume option in Tallahassee.
