Blac Youngsta Arrested On Weapons Charges In Dallas

Rapper Blac Youngsta spent Sunday night in a Dallas County jail after being booked on a gun charge.

Blac Youngsta, aka Sammie Benson, was arrested Sunday afternoon on an unlawfully carrying a weapon charge and bailed out on Monday morning, according to XXL.

Little is known about what led to the arrest, but word got out when attorney Andrew Wilkerson posted a photo on Instagram of Blac Youngsta behind glass at the Dallas County Jail. Wilkerson captioned the photo with "Oh... cause I thought an attorney that’s all 🧢 said something.... I stay on the job... he say 'I like ya energy my n***a' naw fr.. 🗣 this my city ‼️‼️👨🏾‍💼🎯🦍 @blacyoungsta #freeblac #freeblacyoungsta #shaderoom #worldstar #tsr"

The Memphis rapper was in Dallas for a show at Pryme Bar on Saturday night. Videos and photos shared by the venue on Facebook show people standing shoulder-to-shoulder around Blac Youngsta on and off the stage.

Sunday's arrest wasn't Blac Youngsta's first run-in with the law over guns. He was arrested in Houston last year after police allegedly found pistols and "armor-peircing ammo" in the car he was in at the time. He was also arrested in 2017 in connection to the Young Dolph shooting. More recently, he was accused of flashing a gun at a South Carolina show in February.
