More than 715,000 Condé Nast Traveler readers have voted on the top 20 hotels in Texas.
Austin takes up five of those top 20 spots, including number two.
Jesse Ashlock, U.S. editor of Condé Nast Traveler, said in a statement, “The results of this year’s survey, conducted at the start of the COVID-19 pandemic, are a testament to the lasting power of a meaningful travel experience."
Archer Hotel Austin
Archer Hotel Austin comes is the second-best hotel in Dallas with a score of 99.44. According to the website, this hotel has a "nod to Texas heritage" with an "eclectic, creative soul."
Hotel ZaZa Austin
Hotel ZaZa Austin is ranked number eight with a score of 98.3. Hotel ZaZa "marries big city sophistication with authentic Texas style to create the city's preeminent luxury boutique hotel."
Austin Proper Hotel
Austin Proper Hotel came in at number 11 with a score of 97.88. The hotel's website states, "Austin Proper Hotel and Residences is the newest luxury lifestyle hotel in Austin, just steps from Lady Bird Lake, the legendary Austin City Limits music venue and nearby boutiques."
JW Marriott Austin
JW Marriott Austin is number 13 on the list with s score of 97.56. This hotel "brings luxury comforts with sophisticated amenities."
The Driskill
The Driskill came in at number 18 on the list with a score of96.09. This hotel is a historic landmark of Texas hospitality and features 189 well-appointed guest rooms with top-notch food and beverage outlets, according to the website.
