The cat's out of the bag! Eegee's is bringing five locations to the Phoenix area next year.
The Tucson-based fast food chain announced Friday that there will be five locations opening in the Phoenix-area in 2021.
The new locations will include Phoenix, Mesa, Scottsdale, and two locations in Gilbert.
"You asked, we listened: We're opening Phoenix locations in 2021," the website states. "We're finally bringing our good vibes to Phoenix in 2021! Life in Phoenix is about to get a whole lot sweeter."
CEO Ron Petty said in a news release, "We look forward to becoming a part of the Phoenix metroplex, through job creation at our five new restaurants, charitable giving, and of course, our trademark frozen Eegee's"
The restaurant has some very loyal customers who continuously purchase the joint's frozen fruit drinks, ranch fries, and grinders.
The chain opened in 1971, and since has opened 24 locations in the Tucson area. Seven more will be added to the Tucson-area next year, according to officials.
There were not any specific details released about the dates of next year's openings.
The popular chain had recently teased a "secret" coming to Phoenix on social media. One sponsored Facebook post read, "Hey Phoenix, we have a secret to tell you." It was followed by a photo of three of Eegee's signature frozen drinks.
