2 Kids, 2 Adults Injured In 4 Related Shootings Overnight In Memphis

Two juveniles and two adults were reportedly injured in four connected overnight shootings in Memphis.

Memphis Police confirmed each incident occurred in the Whitehaven neighborhood, FOX13 Memphis reports. The department said a 16-year-old victim was shot in the 4700 block of Stacy Drive at around 1:15 a.m. Wednesday.

The 16-year-old was transported to Le Bonheur Children's Hospital and listed as being in non-critical condition. Memphis police said a suspect fled the scene in a black vehicle, FOX13 reports.

A 9-year-old victim was grazed by a bullet just prior to 3:00 a.m. and injured while running into a house in the 1100 block of Meadowlark Lane, Memphis Police confirmed via FOX13.

The 9-year-old was reportedly transported to Le Bonheur Children's Hospital and is expected to recover. An adult man was shot at a Valero gas station in the 400 block of Shelby Drive at Tulane Road.

Police said suspects in the Valero gas station shooting were spotted in a gold or silver Infiniti, FOX13 reports. An adult woman was also shot in the 3300 block of Charlotte Road at around 3:12 a.m.

Both adults were transported to Regional One Health Medical Center and are expected to recover, FOX13 reports. Memphis Police said all four shootings are connected and stemmed from an argument on social media between two women prior to the incidents taking place.

Police have not provided specific details on any suspects as of Wednesday morning, but said they are talking to several individuals connected to the shootings. A total of 29 shell casings were found on the roadway in the Whitehaven area after the shootings took place, according to FOX13 reporter Amy Speropoulos.
