Mother Dies In Car Crash Hours After Her Son's Funeral

A Clarksville woman was killed in a car crash mere hours after attending her son's funeral. Cason Lee Walker, 63, died at the scene and three others were left injured as they made their way back from a funeral in Hermitage. According to Fox 17, Clarksville Police do not anticipate charges in connection with the crash.

Walker's son, 36-year-old JaJuan Clark, was murdered earlier this month. On October 10, a woman found Clark with severe gunshot wounds near Global Mall on Hickory Hollow Parkway. Nashville detectives are currently investigating the incident as a homicide and are looking for answers as to what happened.

According to a police report, Walker was driving south on Trenton Road near Branson Way with Clark's brother, Jonathan, and two teenagers before the car ran off the road and hit a culvert. One of the teens told police that another vehicle was following closely behind them before driving ahead of their car and turning around. The teen then said the vehicle began driving back toward Walker's car before they ultimately crashed.

A witness provided footage to police that showed headlights going south on Trenton Road before disappearing, Fox 17 reports.

Metro Police encourage anyone with information regarding Clark's death to call Crime Stoppers at 615-742-7463.
