Florida Woman Robs Spectrum Store With 'Crowbar' After Refund Refusal

A Florida woman got upset that she couldn't get a refund, so she pried open a cash register with a "long crowbar-looking object," according to ClickOrlando.

Orange County police said 34-year-old Dahianna Serraty, of Deltona, went to a Spectrum store on Enterprise Road on Tuesday (October 27). Serraty asked for a refund in regards to a payment she was not credited. Employees found that the credit was applied to a past due account Serraty had since closed. Officials said the she left the store, came back a second time to ask about her refund again, and left again.

The third time Serraty returned, she had an object that looked like a crowbar, according to authorities. Officers said the Deltona woman went straight for the register, yelling, 'Where’s my money? I’m getting my money' and 'I’m going to get my money one way or another.'

Serraty found no cash inside the register when she pried it open. She then forced an employee and a customer out of an area to open another register, according to an affidavit. The Deltona woman managed to open the register, took some cash and left the store.

Authorities were able to locate Serraty at her home thanks to surveillance video and a picture taken by a Spectrum employee, officials said. She was charged with robbery with a weapon, criminal mischief and petit theft.
