The Pop Smoke collabs keep coming!
On Friday (October 30), French Montana dropped “Double G,” featuring a posthumous verse from the late rapper. The collab marks the first single from French’s upcoming Coke Boys 5 project.
French recently spoke about his friendship with Pop in a recent interview, saying, “A lot of people don’t realize how close me and Pop Smoke was. "He added, “We was friends outside the music and we had a lot of music together that we was planning on putting out, and I’m just so sad we didn’t get a chance to do that. So I just picked out one of my favorite ones and just put it out. He represents the culture; he represents everything about New York.”
Earlier this week, Pop posthumously won the award for Best New Hip Hop Artist at the 2020 BET Hip Hop Awards.
