If there's one thing you can count on for Thanksgiving, it's great food. But what's the best food to you, especially depending on where you live? Well, that's what career resource website Zippia set out to do.
The company released their findings on the most popular Thanksgiving dish side by state in America. Zippia analyzed Google Trends to see what residents were craving in late November last year.
For Florida, that dish is... sweet potato casserole! Sweet potato has been a southern staple in cuisine, whether you like it as a pie or stuffing. For those who aren't familiar with the dish, people throw some mashed sweet potatoes, brown sugar, vanilla, eggs butter and top it with marshmallows before toasting it in the oven. You'll find it in most southern kitchens.
For neighboring states, Alabama eats "dressing" instead of traditional stuffing, according to Zippia. Georgia, along with South Carolina and up the East Coast through Delaware, adores macaroni and cheese as the side dish.
"47 states want their sides carby, cheesy, potato-y and delicious. Only 3 are reaching for veggies more," according to the website. To read more about their fun findings, click here.
