A new event in Chandler is giving residents the opportunity to step into prehistoric times with a drive-thru dinosaur safari.
Dinosaur Drive-Thru is taking place at the Wild Horse Pass Motorsports Park near Wild Horse Pass Boulevard and Maricopa Road.
According to officials, the event opens on Wednesday, November 11th and tickets are available until November 29th.
The event features more than 60 realistic, animatronic, life-sized dinosaurs that roar and have life-like motions.
The drive-thru is an entertaining, educational audio tour that gives information about the dinosaurs as well as fun facts.
Each car will play a trivia game during the length of the safari tour, and every winner will get an official certificate at the end of the drive.
The entire tour will take visitors about 30-45 minutes to complete, all from the comfort of their own vehicles.
Tickets are available for purchase on the event's website. They cost $49 per car or up to eight people.
The hours of the event are:
- 10:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. on weekdays
- 8:00 am to 10:00 p.m. on Friday and Saturday
- 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Sundays
