Usher Unveils First Photo Of Newborn Daughter On 'Ellen'

Usher introduced his newborn daughter, Sovereign Bo, for viewers of The Ellen DeGeneres Show.

On the Wednesday (November 11) episode of the daytime talk show, Ursh, 42, shared the first public photo of his daughter after sharing a glimpse of her tiny finger via social media. "She came out early," the singer explained remotely as the shot appeared on-screen. It was later shared on his Instagram. "She was scheduled to be a Scorpio but decided she had a different plan, you know. Libras, you know they kind of have their minds made up about what they want to do. It’s funny because the umbilical cord was wrapped around her wrist, so she was pulling the thing like, let me outta here, it’s time to go."

Usher is also father to Usher "Cinco" Raymond V, 12, and Naviyd Ely Raymond, 11, whom the upcoming Las Vegas performer shares with his ex-wife, Tameka Foster, and the pop star said that they’re adjusting to their new sibling just fine. "They’re coping well. They’re very excited about being older brothers," he explained during the interview. "They are a little bit too protective. Even with me sometimes. As they get older, I’m less cool of a dad, so I'm starting this whole cycle over again. I'm the apple of her eye right now."

The singer and music industry executive girlfriend Jennifer Goicoechea welcomed the child together on September 24 in Los Angeles. In his initial announcement post, the pop star unveiled a sweet photo of the newborn's hand. "We are feeling blessed and full of love with the arrival of our beautiful baby girl, Sovereign Bo Raymond," he captioned the shot, adding, "'Isn’t She Lovely’ by Stevie Wonder on repeat."
