DeAndre Hopkins took over the sports world this week after an incredible game-winning catch in the last seconds of the game against the Buffalo Bills. He was named NFC Offensive Player of the Week for his catch, according to his team.
With just one second remaining in the game, the Arizona Cardinals won the matchup against the Buffalo Bills in an amazing last-attempt Hail Mary. Hopkins was waiting in the end zone with three defenders- safeties Jordan Poyer and Micah Hyde, and cornerback Tre'Davious White, hanging all over him. He lept through the trio and grabbed the ball to take the lead.
This honor is Hopkins' second career "Offensive Player of the Week" selection, and his first with the Arizona Cardinals. He won "AFC Offensive Player of the Week" in 2015 with Houston.
This is the fourth "Player of the Week" selection for the Cardinals this season and the third "Offensive Player of the Week" award.
DeAndre Hopkins is the fourth wide receiver in Cardinals' history to be names "Offensive Player of the Week." Roy Green, Larry Fitzgerald, and J.J. Nelson have all held the honor before.
